Use it well
A few tips for using soy wax candles:
- On the first burn, let the wax melt all the way to the edges of the jar. This helps the candle burn evenly and prevents tunneling around the wick.
- Don’t burn the candle for more than 3 hours at a time.
- If the flame is too high or starts to smoke, trim the wick to 1–2 mm. If the flame is too weak, remove a bit of wax from the surface.
- The jar gets hot while burning and can damage surfaces — keep that in mind when placing your candle.
- To extinguish the candle, cover it with a non-flammable lid or use a snuffer. Avoid blowing it out to prevent the smell of smoke mixing with the candle’s aroma.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended, near pets or small children, or in a drafty area.
- Store soy candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Ideally below 25°C, as higher temperatures can cause the wax to deform.
Also, keep them away from heat sources or sunlight to avoid melting or warping.
